About Affinity Electrical Services
We began life as Smart Testing (Yorkshire) Ltd in May 2011 in a rented unit in Aizlewoods Mill Sheffield.
By 2015 we had moved, along with our sister company Affinity IT Services Ltd, to our current 1700 sq ft location at Unit 24 President Buildings just outside of the city centre.
It was in October of 2015 that we launched under our new name of ‘Affinity Electrical Services Ltd’ and in doing so began operating under the Affinity brand who collectively with our sister company, Affinity IT, now provide Electrical Services, IT Services and Support plus Telecoms.

From our early days as a professional Electrical Testing Company we have progressed into other areas and now provide a number of differant services all of which can be found under the ‘Our Services’ option on the above toolbar.
Quite a lot of this was driven by our customers who, impressed by our initial testing of their premises, have come back time and again asking for the things that can now been found under the ‘Our Services’ option button above.
As a company we are members of the following trade bodies…
- National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers (NAPIT)
- Registered Competent Person Scheme
As part of Napit membership scheme we are annually assessed on our ability and competence by one of their assessors in which work we have carried is inspected to ensure we meet current standards which once approved deems us to be suitably skilled, qualified and competent professionals.
All electricians listed on the ElectricSafe register are permitted to display the mark and are registered with an electrical Competent Person Scheme Operator which allows them to be authorised by the Government to self-certify that their work is compliant with current Building Regulations.
